Join Washington Crossing Audubon Society from 8:30 AM – noon on Saturday, February 2 for a free, public birding trip led by Mark Witmer and Brad Merritt at Round Valley Reservoir in Hunterdon County, NJ. Surrounding a 4000 acre, 180-foot deep reservoir, Round Valley is a popular year-round recreation site and winter site for bald eagles, various waterfowl and gulls. Depending on weather, we will also tour the adjacent Cushetonk Mountain Nature Preserve or nearby Spruce Run Recreation Area.

We'll then have a chance to chuck a small piece of wood with a catapult or trebuchet. Warm up later by our campfire and enjoy some treats on this festive winter morning.

The public is invited to attend the Hopewell Valley Girl Scouts Annual Open House and Award Ceremony this Saturday, February 2nd at Hopewell Presbyterian Church. The Open House is from 5:15 to 6:00 p.m., immediately followed by the Awards Ceremony. Visitors will have an opportunity to see displays the Scouts have created, and to talk with the girls directly about the impact of their award projects in the community. Brick Farm Market and The Peasant Grill have generously donated a variety of delicious hors d'oeuvres for guests to enjoy.
