West Windsor Community Farmers Market

Opening Day of the West Windsor Community Farmers Market’s eighteenth year begins Saturday, May 1. To keep everyone safe and distanced, the entrance to the market has changed to 877 Alexander Road through the upper Vaughn Lot. The Market will run each and every Saturday, rain or shine from 9am-1pm until Thanksgiving featuring seventeen farms and twenty artisan food makers and a knife sharpener, all from within fifty-miles of West Windsor. 

Joining the roster this year are three farms: Moonshot Farms, Snapping Turtle Farm, and SpiceBush Farm along with Catalina Empanadas, Pure Indian Foods, River Horse Brewery, Sourland Mountain Spirits, Tea-For-All. Look for more organic produce, East Asian vegetables, beer, local spirits, and grass-fed ghee. Mask wearing continues to be required by all, and hand sanitizer stations are located throughout.

The villainous Barnaby has fallen in love with sweet Mistress Mary Quite Contrary. If he can’t buy her love, then he’ll force her to marry him by threatening to foreclose on her mother, the poor Widow Piper. Mary already has her heart set on marrying Barnaby’s nephew Alan — but Barnaby hasn’t given up, and he herds the whole gang of Mother Goose Land characters to Toyland in pursuit of Mary. There, we encounter the magical mystery of Toyland as we meet the Master Toymaker and his quirky assistants Grumio and Marmaduke.

Holiday Open House, The Watershed Institute

Please join us in person on Saturday, December 4 from 11 a.m. -1 p.m. at this FREE event!

Come and meet amazing exotic animals! Eyes of the Wild will present a one-hour animal show featuring rescued wildlife. The show starts at 11:30 a.m. Greg McGarvey, a local guitarist, will delight all by playing favorite tunes and some of his original songs. Enjoy time outside and roast marshmallows around our fire pit! Plan on doing some holiday shopping at our Nature Shop where you will find unique crafts, jewelry, toys, and books, plus local honey.

We are still COVID-19 sensitive, so all guests will be required to wear masks indoors (ages 3+) and we ask that adults who attend show proof of vaccination at the door. Children are welcome and do not need to be vaccinated. Light refreshments will be available. NO REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.

"A Christmas Carol" Read-Aloud, Princeton Public Library

Usher in the spirit of the season by participating in the sixth annual public community reading of Dickens's 1843 novella with our partners at McCarter Theatre Center. Experience the beloved Victorian masterpiece — the original ghost story — in its literary form, which Dickens’ wrote to be read aloud.

We will meet in-person to read the entire story from start to finish in the Community Room. All are invited and encouraged to attend —individuals, families, book clubs, and groups — and to participate by reading a portion of the book for the delight of those assembled. All reading levels are welcome.

Outdoor Visit with Santa, Hightstown Memorial Branch

Princeton Boychoir Fall Concert: Sing for Joy!

Princeton Boychoir’s (PBC) fall concert: Sing for Joy! video will stream on Saturday, December 4th at 7:00pm and Sunday, December 5th at 3:00pm. Tickets, which are $15, and streaming information can be found on the Westrick Music Academy (WMA) website.

The PBC is proud to present a concert featuring all three choirs of the program: Apprentice Choir, Treble Choir and Young Men’s Ensemble. We celebrate our return with music from Handel to Broadway and a premiere of a new work by senior member of the PBC, Barron Brothers. Sing for Joy! will be led by Westrick Music Academy Education Director and PBC Music Director, Fred Meads.
