Treasure Hunt Geocachers - The Watershed

Join Watershed Educators Vicky Allen and Pat Heaney for a treasure hunt using satellites! Learn how to use a GPS (Global Positioning System) device and a compass to find hidden caches. Caches are containers hidden at specific GPS coordinates. Inside it is common to find small, tradable items like plastic bugs or dinosaurs. Use your new compass and GPS skills to explore the reserve and discover new locations during this multi-cache adventure! Ages 9 and up. Masks, social distancing, and adult attendance required. Discount available for members.

Visit from the Horse Doctor and Shoer, Howell Farm

Observe the spring visits from the farm’s veterinarian and dentist. Visitors can listen to a horse’s heart through a stethoscope, watch an equine dentist at work, and learn about old and new veterinary instruments and techniques. The farrier will be shoeing, and the blacksmith working in the forge. Register.

Do you like to make photos of food at a restaurant or at home? Producing successful food images challenges us to apply our understanding of light and composition in some unexpected ways. In this class, we'll learn how a food photographer thinks about and sets up the scene to make mouth-watering food images, demonstrating approaches to photographing types of food with different lenses, lighting and props. This event is a participatory demonstration in the procedures of home maple sugar production. Advanced registration required.

Nature Center at Washington Crossing State Park in Titusville, New Jersey. Programs this winter are offered free of charge. All programs will require advanced registration so that we can manage social distancing. Face coverings are required at all these events. Attendance is limited and is available on a first-come, first-served basis. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Simply Delicious: Nutrition for Life, Grounds For Sculpture
