School of Rock

609-890-7090

For over 15 years, School of Rock has been inspiring the world to rock on stage and in life. We believe the best way to learn music is to play music. We take students from the lesson room to the stage, developing both their confidence and musicianship with programs designed for all skill levels. Founded as a single school in Philadelphia, PA in 1998.

School of Rock teaches guitar, bass, vocals, keyboards, drums, and combines weekly private music lessons and group band rehearsals to prepare students to take the stage in front of live audiences in an authentic concert setting. Through our innovative curriculum and community atmosphere, School of Rock students not only learn music, but develop problem-solving and teamwork skills that crossover into other areas of their lives.

The YWCA Princeton received its charter in 1922; since then, we have been bringing our mission of Eliminating Racism and Empowering Women to life. We strive to meet the changing needs of our diverse community through: an After School Program for more than 500 local children at five school sites; our English as a Second Language department, that teaches English and life skills to immigrants from various socio-economic backgrounds; The Breast Cancer Resource Center, that provides information and support services to more than 5,000 women annually; our Child Care Center at Valley Road School, that provides English-language and social skill development, specifically to low-income and Latino children. We also offer many adapted classes for those with mental and physical challenges, adult education classes, an aquatics program, arts & crafts, fitness and martial arts for women, and a dance program for children and adults. Financial assistance is available.
