Princeton Battlefield Society to Hold A Celebration Dinner September 11

The Princeton Battlefield Society has announced that it will honor Assemblyman Reed Gusciora, Senator Kip Bateman, the Civil War Trust’s Campaign 1776, and Jerry Hurwitz Society president, at a celebration dinner on Monday, September 11 at the Hyatt Regency Princeton, The Dinner, titled “HUZZAH!  A Celebration of Princeton’s Revolutionary War Heritage,” will recognize the pending acquisition of 15 acres of Maxwell’s Field by the Civil War Trust’s Campaign 1776 to the Princeton Battlefield State Park, as well as the recently acquired D’Ambrisi and Gigliotti properties, both spearheaded by the Princeton Battlefield Society.

 

Funds raised from the dinner will be invested in the preservation of the Thomas Clarke House, the only remaining structure from the January 3, 1777 Battle of Princeton, and Museum and in the expansion of educational programming for the Society.

 

The celebration, which is being planned by a committee including Peter Travers, Anne Weber, Ben Strong, Alison Roth, Roger Williams and Bill Marsch,  will include a silent auction and the opportunity for congratulatory messages in the evening’s program.  Information on the celebration dinner can be obtained by contacting Bill Marsch at wrmarsch@gmail.com.
