There are some things you can do to help get a good print-out of the map. You have a better chance if you download the graphic and print it separately from the web page. To do that, you have to right-click over the map and select "Save Picture as..." (if using Internet Explorer). You then get a browse box which lets you select where on your PC to deposit the .gif file. Remember what folder you put it in. Once the .gif file is on your PC, you have to click on the file to open it. That will use the default graphics program on your computer. If you right-click on the file, there may be other programs you can open it with if you select "Open with...". I don't know what program on your PC will happen to open the file, but something will (possibly a browser). When you start to print the file, you may be able to improve your chances of getting a good print by tweaking the printer's options before giving the final OK to print. For example, my HP Deskjet color printer let me select "Landscape" instead of "Portrait" mode, which means that it prints sideways and fits on the page better. Also, my printer let me select print quality, which defaults to "average". I chose "Best" (the other option is "Econo-Fast"). "Best" definitely helped. Finally, the program on my PC which opened the .gif file (and from which I printed) was called Microsoft Photo Editor. This particular program offers me a print option to "Fit to a page". That, combined with telling the printer to print in Landscape (sideways) mode, got the entire graphic to print on a single page. Each program, and each printer, will vary in the options offered.
