Yahoo News Anchorwoman Bianna Golodryga Keynoted Jewish Federation Annual Women’s Philanthropy Spring Luncheon

May 4, 2017, Princeton, NJ—The Women’s Philanthropy Annual Spring Luncheon was held on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Greenacres Country Club in Lawrenceville, NJ. Each year, this division of the Jewish Federation of Princeton Mercer Bucks gathers for a day of friends and fun while raising money for Jewish programming in the area, in Israel, and around the world. Over 200 women, from Mercer and Bucks Counties, attended.

Keynoting the event this year was Bianna Golodryga, News and Finance Anchor for Yahoo. Her family moved to the United States from Moldova, part of the former Soviet Union, with the help of the Jewish Federations of North America. She discussed her immigrant experience growing up in Texas and how she began her career in the television news industry. Bianna is a 2017 recipient of the prestigious Gracie Award, recognizing pioneering women in the broadcast industry.

Local businesswoman Lisa Tobias was honored with the Woman of Valor award for her commitment and devotion to community. A dedicated philanthropist, Lisa serves on the Boards of Directors of the Jewish Federation as well as Greenwood House Home for the Jewish Aged. As part of her involvement with Federation Women’s Philanthropy, Lisa has been a dedicated Lion of Judah major donor for more than a decade. She’s attended the International Lion of Judah Conference, representing our community.
