Princeton AlumniCorps is hosting the “Engaged At Every Age” Conference February 25, 2011

The Engaged at Every Conference will cover volunteering, board service, and fulltime careers in the nonprofit sector. In one day, this conference will highlight individuals who found opportunities to create and explore meaningful midlives. It will feature representatives from Princeton University and from leading nonprofits to guide the discussion of what career transition, community service, and volunteering can look like for you.

The keynote speaker is Marc Freedman <http://www.encore.org/staff#Marc_Freedman> , author of “Prime Time: How Baby Boomers will Revolutionize Retirement and Transform America” and “Encore: Finding Work That Matters in the Second Half of Life.” The NonProfit Times named Marc one of the 50 most powerful and influential individuals in the nonprofit sector in 2010. Civic Ventures and Freedman received the 2010 Skoll Award for Social Entrepreneurship at Oxford University in April 2010.

The conference will feature a number of panelists, including Princeton University President Shirley Tilghman, Kerry Hannon, author of “What's Next? Follow Your Passion and Find Your Dream Job,” and Stephanie Scott Harbour, President of Mom Corps NYC. Panels will feature representatives from the Alumni Council on Community Service, Idealist.org, iMentor, Princeton AlumniCorps, Fresh Artists, Community Environmental Center, and VolunteerConnect. There will be time for questions and breakout sessions, and ideas for concrete next steps. Everyone who attends will also leave with a full list of online resources and contact information to learn more.

$55.00 to attend. Light breakfast and a full lunch will be served. The event will be on Princeton’s campus in McCosh Hall on February 25, 2011. Visit  <http://www.alumnicorps.org>  to register. First come, first serve.
