Bryn Mawr Club of Princeton
The Bryn Mawr Club of Princeton is a regional Alumnae Club for graduates of Bryn Mawr College, the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences and the Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research living in the Central New Jersey area. We run an annual Book Sale in association with alumnae from Wellesley College to support scholarships for students from the central New Jersey area.

Donating Books

We accept donations of used books in good condition at our warehouse behind 32 Vandeventer Street, Princeton on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10am - noon.

Due to space restrictions, we can only accept 12 boxes a week from a single household. Please call ahead if you wish to donate more than 12 boxes at once.

The Bryn Mawr-Wellesley Book Sale raises money for scholarships by selling books, thus the books we take in must be in good condition and salable. There are some books people won't buy. The items we can not accept include:

  • Encyclopedias (except for the Britannica 11th edition)
  • Law books
  • Magazines and journals (except for art magazines)
  • Reader's Digest Condensed Books
  • Harlequin and Silhouette romances
  • Textbooks in any field (scholarly monographs are fine)
  • Outdated materials such as old software manuals, almanacs, restaurant & hotel guides
  • Time-Life Nature or Science series
  • And...anything so moldy smelly, dirty, or crumbly that you would not read it in bed.

We are happy to receive books on tape or CD, audio tapes and commercial videotapes or DVDs.

A hockey rink full of books - categorized and individually priced.
