Getting engaged is one of the most exciting times in a girl’s life! The ring, the dress, the man of your dreams, its an unforgettable experience. A great way to start is by getting advice and recommendations from friends and family that have already gotten married. Also remember to be creative when planning your event. Look for unique locations to hold the wedding; perhaps on a lake, a historic site, an airplane hanger or even a tent in your backyard, the possibilities are endless! You can also do unique and memorable things like having a vocalist sing you down the aisle or have an acappella group serenade you as you dance your first dance as husband and wife! As for your reception, it doesn’t have to be a traditional sit down dinner if that’s not your style. An alternative is a station style event. Perhaps you and your new husband love to travel, each station can represents a different and meaningful place you traveled together. Maybe your both dessert lovers… You can host a sundown ceremony followed by a late night dessert reception! Chocolate fountains, a candy bar and cakes and pies galore! If your looking for a fun and casual event on a spring afternoon you can have a morning ceremony followed by brunch, mimosas’ and lawn games on a picturesque lake!
