Guided Tours of Drumthwacket, the Official Residence of the Governor of New Jersey

Drumthwacket, the historically important Princeton estate that is the official residence of the Governor of New Jersey, is open for guided public tours on Wednesdays.

 

Sited on land that witnessed the Princeton battle of the American Revolution, Drumthwacket was built in 1835 by Charles Smith Olden, the man who would be elected New Jersey's Civil War governor. Tour the residence and explore the Italianate formal gardens designed circa 1900. Also visit the Olden House, the original 18th century Quaker farmhouse on the property, where the Gift Shop will be open.

 

Reservations are required. You are encouraged to reserve on line at www.drumthwacket.org or call 609-683-0057. Suggested $5.00 donation to the non-profit Drumthwacket Foundation. On-site parking.
